🧮⚽ Maths PE Day! 🏃‍♀️🏀 Y7 students enjoyed a fantastic Maths PE Day, combining teamwork, problem-solving, and physical activity in a range of exciting sporting challenges. Throughout the day, students put their mathematical skills to the test while taking part in an array of different sports and data handling.

Our final Performing Arts Event of the year at The Ruth Gorse Academy. The Shakespeare festival consists of 3 evenings of performance from different academies across Leeds. The Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme is running from 25 June to 1 September 2026, offering reduced VAT on children's meals, family tickets to cinemas, theatres and attractions, as well as free bus travel in August for children aged 5–15 in England. 🎭✨ London Residential Update! ✨🎭 Our Y9 and 10 Drama and Dance students had a wonderful first day in London! 🤩 They braved the thrills of the London Dungeons 👻, enjoyed spectacular views from the London Eye 🎡, and rounded off the day with a fantastic performance of Matilda the Musical 🎶🌟. Today promises to be just as exciting! 💃🕺 Students are heading to Pineapple Dance Studios for a workshop with industry professionals 🎭✨, giving them the chance to learn from the very best. They will then enjoy another amazing West End show at a matinee performance 🎟️🎬. 🎓⚖️🔬🤖 Y8 visit to University of Bradford as part of Aspirations Week! Students met professors and other academics, visited the mock court experience with the Law Department, explored cutting-edge 3D printing and robotics technology, and investigated crime scene evidence with the Forensics Unit. Warm weather: uniform adaptions. In response to the hot weather, the following uniform adaptions are in place for Thurs 9th July and Fri 10th July. We thank you for ensuring that your child follows this correctly. Option 1: CLCA PE kit (CLCA short sleeve top, shorts, trainers, short black ankle socks). Full details of PE kit can be found in the student planner and on our website. Option 2: CLCA uniform but with no jumper, no tie, top button undone.

Guided Destinations for Year 8 into Year 9: We have sent a message via email and SIMS App to all parents/carers of students in Year 8. Your child will receive a printed slip on Tues 7th July with the 3 allocated Guided Destination subjects. These will be issued by your child's form tutor on this date.
